Wendy McFarlane

I am Wendy McFarlane, a teacher at North Grenville District High School. I am running to be District Vice President.

I have been engaged in union activities for several years, serving on the Educational Services Committee and CPAC as well as serving as my school's collective bargaining rep. I was a member of the brief writing team and local negotiating team for the last round of bargaining. Currently, I serve as secretary at the District Level and am a member of the Provincial Educational Services Committee.

I will bring my experience, both in union activities and 26 years as a classroom teacher, my strong support for unionism and public education to this position. The district level is an important venue for all the different bargaining units of OSSTF to get together in their shared quest to improve public education. Working together, learning from each other, and supporting each other is what makes us all stronger. I would love to continue being a part of the District Executive.
