As TBU President for the past two years, I’ve led with purpose and intentional action, and I wish to continue fighting for our rights as we face the challenges ahead. With contract negotiations and potential job actions on the horizon, I am seeking your support to continue leading our union through these pivotal moments. My prior experience with facilitating the 2019-2020 strikes has equipped me with the knowledge and strategies necessary to effectively manage a strike and employ creative tactics for job actions.

Under my leadership, the TBU has experienced significant wins, including rebuilding a more collegial working relationship with UCDSB. These successes have strengthened our union and positioned us to tackle the challenges that lie ahead with a unified voice.

Previously, I successfully negotiated twice for the PSSP Bargaining Unit, securing substantial gains for its members. I am eager to bring this expertise to the Teachers Bargaining Unit (TBU) and work towards achieving similar successes in our upcoming contract talks.

Public education has become increasingly politicized, and I possess the skills and experience needed to navigate these complex political landscapes. I am committed to advocating for our rights and working conditions while ensuring our collective voice is heard at every level.

If re-elected, I will continue to focus on innovative organizing, open communication with members, and effective collaboration to ensure we stand strong as a union. Together, we can protect the integrity of our profession and fight for the future of public education.
