Catherine Alexander

I am Catherine Alexander (0.5 TBU/0.5 OTBU), and I am in my 23rd year of teaching. I am applying for the position of Educational Services Officer for the OTBU Executive. This past year, I have served in this role and would love to continue it. As part of the Educational Services committee, I had the opportunity to attend my first conference as an OSSTF member in November 2025, and I have since contributed to the subcommittee for Artificial Intelligence. As a joint TBU/OTBU member of Educational Services, I am a voice for members of both bargaining units. This past year, I also served as a member of the Committee for Equity & Diversity (CfED) and organized District 26’s first walk in the Brockville Pride Parade (June 2025). This upcoming May, I will be attending the Status of Women conference in Kingston on behalf of CfED.

I have gained immeasurable support from fellow members throughout my teaching career (District 12 and now District 26), and I would like to pay that forward by continuing as the Educational Services Officer for the OTBU Executive.
